The rape of a minor girl on the eve of Independence Day has led actor Divyanka Tripathi to appeal to Prime Minister Modi to end violence against women in the country. In a series of tweets addressed to the PM, the actor said that now she was scared of having a daughter, and that rapists should also be eradicated under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
