Reel VS Real ‘Soorma’: Diljit-Angad Meet Sandeep & Bikram Singh
Diljit Dosanjh and Angad Bedi reunited with the Singhs at the ‘Soorma’ premiere.
Ace hockey player Sandeep Singh was shot on a train 12 years ago, which left the hockey player paralysed for two years. But he fought back and went on to win several medals for the country. Soorma, starring Diljit Dosanjh as Sandeep Singh, tells the story of this nearly impossible feat. The Shaad Ali film also stars Taapsee Pannu and Angad Bedi. Bedi plays the role of Bikram Singh, Sandeep’s brother who supported him through the very difficult journey.
Bikram and Sandeep Singh trained Diljit Dosanjh for months for this film.
Diljit Dosanjh and Angad Bedi watched the film together with the real life heroes Sandeep and Bikram Singh a day before the film’s release on 13 July.
