Indian sprinter Hima Das claimed her fifth gold of the month in the 400m race at the Nove Mesto nad Metuji Grand Prix in the Czech Republic on Saturday, 20 July. The athlete has had a ‘golden run’ since 2 July when she won 200m gold at the Poznan Athletics Grand Prix in Poland. She went on to win the 200m gold at the Kutno Athletics Meet in Poland on 7 July; her third gold at the Kladno Athletics Meet in the Czech Republic on 13 July; and her fourth gold in the 200m race at the Tabor Athletics Meet, also in the Czech Republic on 17 July.

Big B was effusive in his praise for Hima and tweeted, “This is an incredible finish... In the 400 metres to give that kind of a spurt in the last 15-20 metres is an impossible feat! Amazing amazing amazing!”
Anushka Sharma congratulated the athlete and called her an “exemplary example of solid grit and determination and a huge inspiration to young girls.”
Anil Kapoor concurred the Hima is “an inspiration to us all” and wished her the best of luck in her future endeavours.
