Akshay Kumar is busy shooting for the Rohit Shetty directorial Sooryavanshi. According to a report by Mumbai Mirror, the actor injured his left arm on the sets of the film. “He sprained a muscle on his left arm. As per instructions by the physiotherapist, Akshay had to wear a bandage on his arm. However, he continued shooting for the film despite his injury,” a source told the publication.

Akshay’s injury is visible in a video he shared with Katrina Kaif, who will be sharing screen space with him in the cop film. Akshay’s first music-video, Filhall, received such a warm appreciation that he recreated a scene from the song.

“Been reading all your comments on the #FilhallTeaser and so many of you said it reminded you’ll of Namastey London. Coincidentally, I was shooting with our very own Jazz aka @katrinakaif today for #Sooryavanshi and we have a little surprise for you all,” Akshay wrote on Instagram.

Some time back, Rohit Shetty shared a new picture from the actioner, which brings lead Akshay Kumar together with Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh, who happen to be the stars of Rohit’s other cop franchises Singham and Simmba.

Rohit Shetty Picturez posted the photo of Instagram, writing, “When Bajirao ‘Singham’ meets Sangram ‘Simmba’ Bhalerao meets Veer #Sooryavanshi, we expect not just fireworks but a full-blown blast on 27th March 2020!” In the photo, Ajay, Akshay and Ranveer are seen in their cop avatars flanked by an army of officers.

Rohit has earlier said that he plans to build a “cop universe” in the style of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Avengers by bringing Singham, Simmba and Sooryavanshi together. Sooryavanshi hits the theatres on 27 March 2020.
