Time to embrace the weekend vibes. It’s FRI-yay! The stars have an eventful life. So let’s see who did what and who wore what.

A film that released in 2015 - Nanak Shah Fakir went through a hellish ordeal to even get a clearance from the CBFC. After it was released, it was promptly banned by Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC). Now superstar Akshay Kumar has come forward to back the film.

“It is kind of Akshay to support our film and launch its trailer. His help means a lot to us. Our movie spreads the message of love and goodness. It follows Guru Nanak Devji’s journey across the globe, spreading the message of Ik Onkar, equality of all religions, castes and genders.”
The movie’s producer Sikka told Mid-Day

Akshay Kumar’s magnanimity came into focus when he deferred the date of PadMan’s release so as not to clash with Padmaavat. Nanak Shah Fakir is based on the life and teachings of the first Sikh guru, Guru Nanak Dev.

His own film Kesari is a war drama based on the Battle of Saragarhi in which an army of 21 Sikhs fought against the Afghans in 1897. It stars Akshay and Parineeti Chopra in the lead roles and is directed by Anurag Singh.

Akshay Kumar can spruce up the most basic black look. We usually see him keeping it simple yet suave.
