The highly anticipated trailer of the Salman Khan-starer Tubelight was launched in Mumbai on Thursday. Directed by Kabir Khan, whose films include Ek Tha Tiger and Bharangi Bhaijaan, the story is inspired by Hollywood film Little Boy.

Salman Khan plays Laxman, an innocent and docile villager, who is shown to share a very close relationship with his reel and real life brother Sohail Khan.

Set during the Indo-China war, the story begins with men from Laxman’s village being recruited by the Indian Army to fight the war. Laxman, incidentally, is not selected for the army position. The plot revolves around Laxman setting out to bring back his brother who has gone missing, with the belief that he can stop the war.

The trailer also gives us a glimpse of late actor Om Puri, and Shah Rukh Khan, who is said to play a magician in the film.

Chinese actress Zhu Zhu of Cloud Atlas and Shangai Calling fame debuts in Bollywood with the release. Like Bhajrangi, the trailer makes us anticipate that a small kid might play a pivotal role.
