After RD Burman’s classic from 1942: A Love Story, the makers of Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga have revived another popular number — ’90s hit ‘Ishq Mitha’. While the original Punjabi song was performed by Bally Sagoo and Malkit Singh and featured Malaika Arora and Jas Arora, this version has been recreated by lyricist Gurpreet Saini and singers Navraj Hans and Harshdeep Kaur, with music by Rochak Kohli.

2. ‘Simmba’ Beats ‘Chennai Express’, Becomes Biggest Rohit Shetty Hit

Ever since its premiere on 28 December, Simmba has had a roaring run at the box office. According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the Ranveer Singh-starrer has collected Rs 227.71 crore so far, surpassing the lifetime business of Chennai Expressand making the film director Rohit Shetty’s highest grosser.

3. Boney Kapoor Sends Legal Notice to Priya Prakash Varrier Film

Viral internet sensation Priya Prakash Varrier is making her Bollywood debut with the upcoming Sridevi Bungalow, directed by Prasanth Mambully. Now the film has gotten caught in a controversy, as it has been accused of lifting from the late Bollywood icon Sridevi’s life.

In Sridevi Bungalow, Priya plays an actor allegedly modelled after the namesake. The teaser for the film received flak for showing a woman dead in a bathtub, an apparent reference to actor Sridevi’s death due to accidental drowning in similar circumstances. Sridevi's husband producer Boney Kapoor is not taking the similarities lightly and has slapped a legal notice on the film.

Darshan Kumaar has been cast in the upcoming biopic on Narendra Modi.

Actor Darshan Kumaar has joined the cast of PM Narendra Modi, a film by Omung Kumar on the life of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Darshan, who has earlier worked under Omung's direction in films like Mary Kom and Sarbjit, will play an integral part in the project, casting for which is currently on, read a statement. The biopic is being produced by Legend Global Studio.

5. ‘Indian 2’: First Look of Kamal Haasan’s Last Film Is Here

The first look of Kamal Haasan’s Tamil film, Indian 2 has been released, and it is bound to make you nostalgic. Director Shankar shared the poster on Tuesday, wishing ‘Happy Pongal’ to his fans.

Haasan plays Senathipathi, the old man from the original Indian, again. Signalling what could be curtains on a long and illustrious film career, actor Kamal Haasan has indicated winding up his cinema stint to be an "effective" politician. The founder of the Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) has indicated that the sequel to his 1996 blockbuster Indian, titled Indian 2, could "probably" be his last film.
