It is High Time Ranbir Got Married: Rishi Kapoor

The internet is flooded with pictures of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. Their relationship is no longer a rumour now. But to our knowledge, marriage hasn’t really entered the discussion yet... or has it?

According to Mid Day, Rishi Kapoor expressed his desire to see his son get married.

“It is high time he got married. I settled down when I was 27, Ranbir is 35. So he should think about marriage. He can marry anyone of his choice; we don’t have any objection to it. I want to spend time with my grandchildren before I am gone.”

The veteran actor further reflects on the pitfalls of being in Bollywood. He recognises that it makes it harder to meet new people.

“[Be it] Ranbir or his contemporaries, actors have blinkers on and are focused on their work. The only women they meet are the actresses. They don’t socialise as much; that is the flipside of life in the movies.”

Rishi has often admitted that he believes in being more of a disciplinarian than a friend to his son. So it doesn’t come as a surprise that he has not directly broached the subject to Ranbir.

Who knows? Maybe Rishi’s wishes may come true soon.
