Arshad Warsi Is Anything but 'Bhola' in 'Fraud Saiyaan' Trailer

The trailer to Arshad Warsi’s next, Fraud Saiyaan, has been released. In the film, Arshad plays the ironically named Bhola Prasad Tripathi, a man from Lucknow who fraudulently marries several different women, seemingly for money.

The film has been produced by Disha Prakash Jha and Kanishk Gangwal and also stars Saurabh Shukla and Sara Loren. It is set to release on 18 January.

Twinkle Khanna Pays Tribute to Father Rajesh Khanna on B'Day

Twinkle Khanna turns a year older on 29 December. The actor and writer took to social media to pay tribute to her father, the late Rajesh Khanna, with whom she shares a birthday. She posted a black and white picture of the Amar Prem actor with the caption: “As a toddler, I was convinced that all the truckloads of flowers that would arrive for his birthday were actually for me... #nowandforever”

'Thugs of Hindostan' Gets Weak Start at Box Office in China

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh reports that Aamir Khan-starrer Thugs of Hindostan had a “shockingly low start” in China, earning Rs 10.67 crore on day one, which included previews. It has however, earned over Rs 100 crore in sales to local distributors.

The film premiered worldwide on 8 November and hit theatres in China on 28 December.

'The Accidental Prime Minister' Should Be India’s Official Entry to the Oscars: Kirron Kher

BJP MP, Kirron Kher, who’s also actor Anupam Kher’s wife, has said that the Congress, who’s protesting against The Accidental Prime Minister, must practise what they preach. According to news agency ANI, Kirron said: “It’s a pathbreaking film. People who speak of freedom of speech i.e Rahul Gandhi, must now practise what he preaches. Anupam told me people will fall in love with Manmohan Singh ji. It should be India’s official entry to the Oscars.”

Katrina Kaif Opts out of Varun Dhawan's Dance Film

Actress Katrina Kaif has opted out of Remo D'souza's upcoming dance film, which also features Varun Dhawan.

She had to let go of the project due to the hectic schedule for "Bharat". Katrina's official spokesperson on Saturday shared the update on the project with a statement.

"Katrina Kaif had to opt out of Remo D'souza's upcoming dance film owing to her hectic schedule for 'Bharat'. Katrina has always been a thorough professional. She decided to step out of the film as her dates were clashing with 'Bharat', which she is currently shooting for. She wishes the team all the best," read the statement, reports IANS.

‘Simmba’ Box Office: Ranveer Singh’s Biggest Opening Yet

Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan’s Simmba started on a solid note in the box office despite mixed reviews. The Rohit Shetty film, which revolves around Sangram Bhalerao, a flamboyant cop, who’s in the trade for the money till he undergoes a change of heart after violence touches someone he loves.

Simmba has turned out to be Ranveer’s biggest opening till date, ahead of even Padmaavat which earned Rs 19 crore on day one. Simmba raked in Rs 20.72 crore on the first day. The film is doing especially well in the Mumbai circuit, according to trade analyst Taran Adarsh.

It's Been a Phenomenal Year for Me: Ranveer Singh

From box office success to starting a new chapter in his personal life, actor Ranveer Singh says it has been a "phenomenal year" for him.

Ranveer started the year with "Padmaavat" in which he garnered applause for essaying the role of villainous Delhi Sultan Alauddin Khilji. And he is ending the year on a successful note with "Simmba", reports IANS.

"It is an incredibly humbling moment for me. As an artist, I have always tried to experiment and I'm happy that my content choices are being loved by audiences who want to see me break my mould every single time I come on screen," Ranveer said in a statement.
