Karan Johar Teases a Sequel to ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’

‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ will complete 20 years in October.

Karan Johar’s debut Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, starring Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan will clock 20 years in October. Don’t you feel really old? So does Karan Johar. KJo appeared on the dance reality show, Dance Deewane, with Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor, the leads of his Sairat remake, Dhadak and said something about Kuch Kuch Hota Hai that would make fans of the blockbuster delirious.

Madhuri Dixit, Shashank Khaitan and Tushar comprise the jury of the dance show.

A source informed Mumbai Mirror about what transpired on the sets. KJo apparently made a dashing entry on the show ala SRK from Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham while Tushar and Shashank awaited like Jaya Bachan in the film, with an aarti ki thali. KJo even shook a leg to Zingaat.

“Soon after, two young contestants — Shaurya and Alok — performed an act to celebrate 20 years of his directorial debut, recreating some memorable moments from the film. The 46-year-old KJo was left teary-eyed by the end of the performance.”

As a compliment to the performers, Karan Johar joked that he was so touched by the performance that he’d consider making a sequel of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and perhaps cast the contestants Shaurya and Alok.
