Kangana Ranaut’s sister Rangoli Chandel recently took to Twitter to inform that the actor, who has named her production house after the Queen of Jhansi Manikarnika, will be making films on topics that people fear to discuss. She also hinted at an announcement to be made soon. Now, according to a report by Mumbai Mirror, Kangana has finalised the subject of her first production. Titled Aparajitha Ayodhya, the film is based on the Ram Mandir issue and the the court case that has been grabbing headlines for quite some time.

The film will reportedly go on floors earlier this year.

Kangana herself said that though several documentaries have been made on this topic, but she considers it to be appropriate for her first production. “Many documentaries have been made on this subject from varying perspectives. However, what makes Aparajitha Ayodhya different is that it will document the journey of the protagonist from a non-believer to a believer. In a way, the film will also reflect my personal journey, so I feel that this is the apt topic for my first film,” the actor told the publication.

She also said that the Ram temple has been a burning topic for many years. “I have grown up hearing the name Ayodhya being referred to in a negative light. The piece of land that was symbolic of sacrifices became the subject of a property dispute. The case changed the face of Indian politics and the verdict reflected the secular spirit of India,” Kangana added.

Aparajitha Ayodhya will be scripted by the creator of Baahubali series KV Vijayendra Prasad. “I have seen bhakts getting drenched in the rain, arguing that they cannot be warm and dry when their Ram Lalla is wet and cold. There have been numerous efforts to wipe out our unity, but we remain undefeated. Hence the prefix Aparajitha,” Kangana explains.

Meanwhile, Kangana Ranaut is gearing up for her upcoming film, a biopic on Jayalalithaa.
