‘Judgementall Hai Kya’ Catches up on Day 2, Collects Rs 8.02 Cr

Kangana Ranaut and Rajkummar Rao-starrer Judgementall Hai Kya opened to an average box-office collection on day one of its release. According to a press release from the producers, the film directed by Prakash Kovelmudi opened to Rs 5.40 crore in India on Friday. While the day one box-office figures was expected to be somewhere between Rs 6 - 8 crore, the actual numbers are slightly lower than expected.

According to the producers of the film, Judgementall Hai Kya witnessed a 50% jump on the second day of its release. It collected Rs 8.02 crore on Saturday. However, certain other trade reports have revealed different figures. Box Office India reported that the film collected Rs 7 crore on Saturday.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh on Twitter wrote, “#BoxofficeSummary - #Saturday: And biz shoots up again... #JudgementallHaiKya jumps on Day 2, national multiplexes record significant growth...”

Judgementall Hai Kya has received several positive reviews which could boost its box-office numbers over the weekend. The film opened along with Diljit Dosanjh and Kriti Sanon’s Arjun Patiala on Friday and received better occupancy and reviews.

Jugedmentall Hai Kya is Rajkummar Rao and Kangana Ranaut’s second film together after the massive success of Queen in 2014. This is both Kangana and Rajkummar’s second release of 2019. Kangana was earlier seen in Manikarnika, while Rajkummar made an appearance in Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga.

Judgementall Hai Kya co-produced by Balaji Telefilms and Shailesh Singh has reportedly been made on a budget of Rs 35 crore.
