Shahid Kapoor, who’s attending the inauguration ceremony of the 48th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa, has appealed again to people give Padmavati a chance before judging it. The actor has reiterated that there’s nothing in the Sanjay Leela Bhansali film that’s in bad taste - referring perhaps to the alleged dream sequence between Padmavati and Alauddin Khilji.

The actor said that people should at least watch the film before jumping to conclusions - “Our constitution says that you are innocent until proven guilty. Same should be extended to Padmavati.”

Shahid also condemned the death threats issued against Deepika Padukone in strong terms, while hoping that the film would release soon.
