Akshay Kumar has become nearly synonymous with desh bhakti, and if you needed more proof of it, watch this Gold promo. Titled “Stand up for Gold”, the promo plays on the “stand up for national anthem” theme, vis-a-vis of course the British VS India backdrop.

Gold is said to be loosely based on the life of Balbir Singh, who was a part of the team that won the first Olympic medal for India as a free nation in 1948. Helmed by Reema Kagti, the film also marks the debut of Naagin fame Mouni Roy.
Gold is slated to hit theatres on August 15, 2018.
