2. ‘Mission Mangal’ Halts: Director Moves HC Over Copyright

A woman director has approached the Bombay High Court against an upcoming film Mission Mangal starring Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan, claiming copyright infringement.

Mission Mangal is being touted as India's first space film.

Radha Bharadwaj on Wednesday filed a suit seeking a stay on the production and release of the movie, which is about India's 2014 Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM), also known as Mangalyaan.

3. Show Me Remorse, I Will Forgive You: Vinta Nanda to Alok Nath

Alok Nath has been accused of sexual harassment by writer-filmmaker Vinta Nanda.

With an FIR for rape lodged against actor Alok Nath, writer-director Vinta Nanda says she is "willing to forgive" but "show some remorse, repentance", so she knows he will never violate another woman again.

Vinta is still willing to forgive Alok if he apologises.

“I was never in this for revenge. I want correction, not revenge. Show some remorse, show some sign of repentance. Let me know that no other woman would be violated by you the way I was. All I see right now is an attitude of defiance and shamelessness. If that’s the way it is going to be, then I’ll see my fight for justice to the end,” she said.

4. #MeToo Campaign a Fad to Gain Publicity: IFFI Jury Head

The #MeToo campaign is a fad, aimed at attracting publicity and getting mileage and will recede with time, Vinod Ganatra, who heads the seven-member non-feature film jury at the 49th International Film Festival of India (IFFI), said on Wednesday.

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the ongoing festival, Ganatra said the #MeToo campaign got attention because of people who are keen on fanning the phenomenon.
