1. Pooja Bedi Comes out in Support of Karan Oberoi, Calls Him ‘Kind’
Model, singer and TV actor Karan Oberoi has been sent to police custody by a Mumbai court till 9 May for allegedly raping and blackmailing a woman, reported news agency ANI. An FIR had been registered at Oshiwara Police Station under sections 376 (rape) and 384 (extortion). The actor reportedly duped the woman under the pretext of marrying her. The FIR alleges that he not only raped her and filmed the act but also threatened to release the video unless she paid him the money he demanded.
Now, his close friend and actor Pooja Bedi has come out in support of Karan, urging that the laws that exist to protect women should be used responsibly by them.

2. Rohit Shetty Shares First Look of Akshay in ‘Sooryavanshi’
Director Rohit Shetty took to Instagram to share the first look of Akshay Kumar’s avatar in his upcoming cop drama Sooryavanshi. In the picture, Akshay wears a stern expression and is dressed in a tight black shirt and khaki pants.
“ No Uniforms... No Marked Cars... Anti Terrorism Squad - The ghost department of our police force... Sooryavanshi,” Shetty wrote in the caption.

3. Manushi Chhillar to Debut in Akshay’s Prithviraj Chauhan Biopic
Miss World in India are known for eventually making their foray into Bollywood. So why should it be any different for Manushi Chhillar who won the pageant in 2017?
According to a report by online publication Pinkvilla, Manushi Chhillar is all set to make her Bollywood debut opposite none other than Akshay Kumar. Apparently, she has been signed on the Prithviraj Chauhan biopic in which Akshay will be playing the lead role. The film will be produced by Yash Raj Films and directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi. Prithviraj Chauhan was a former Indian king.

After making his web series debut in Sacred Games, Saif Ali Khan is set to make his first appearance in a television show. Titled Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum, the show is a love story featuring Bigg Boss 12 winner Dipika Kakar and Karan V Grover, who play an actor and cardiologist, respectively.

Actor Vidya Balan is set star in Math Genius in the role of mathematical whiz Shakuntala Devi. The film will be directed by Anu Menon, who has previously worked on Amazon Prime Video web series Four More Shots Please!, and is being backed by Abundantia Entertainment, the production house behind films such as Airlift and Toilet: Ek Prem Katha.
