1. Deepika Was Asked to Speak out on Mob Lynchings, Here’s Her Reply
While Deepika Padukone has been vocal about mental health, she was recently questioned on her reluctance to speak out about other social issues. In an interview with The Print, a member of the audience reminded the actor of the open letter that 49 eminent citizens, including Aparna Sen and Shyam Benegal, had written to Narendra Modi voicing their concern about the rise in lynchings and hate crimes against minorities including Dalits, Muslims and Christians. She asked why, despite being an influencer, she had remained silent on the matter.

2. Desi Avengers: Ajay, Akshay & Ranveer in New ‘Sooryavanshi’ Pic
Filmmaker Rohit Shetty shared a new picture from his upcoming actioner Sooryavanshi which brings lead Akshay Kumar together with Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh, who happen to be the stars of Rohit’s other cop franchises Singham and Simmba.
Rohit Shetty Picturez posted the photo of Instagram, writing, “When Bajirao ‘Singham’ meets Sangram ‘Simmba’ Bhalerao meets Veer #Sooryavanshi, we expect not just fireworks but a full-blown blast on 27th March 2020!”

3. ‘Bala’: The Trailer For Ayushmann’s Next Is Hair For Us To See
Ayushmann Khurrana’s upcoming film Bala is all set to release on 15 November, and the trailer for the film is finally out for the audiences to see. The film is directed by Amar Kaushik of Stree fame, and produced by Dinesh Vijan. The film follows the story of a man dealing with premature balding.

4.‘Bigg Boss’ in Bigg Trouble? BJP MLA Writes Letter Demanding Ban
Salman Khan's reality show Bigg Boss may be in big trouble. BJP MLA from Ghaziabad, Nand Kishore Gurjar has written a letter to Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javdekar demanding that the show be taken off air. In his letter, the BJP legislator has alleged that the "show was promoting obscenity and vulgarity and was unfit for family viewing".

5. Kajol, Mithila to Star in Netflix Film Produced by Ajay Devgn
Ajay Devgn and Netflix are joining hands for the upcoming film Tribhanga directed by actor Renuka Shahane. The film, which derives its title from an Odissi dance pose, will begin shooting from Thursday 10 October. The film will mark the digital debut of Ajay's wife, actor Kajol, who stars alongside Mithila Palkar, Tanvi Azmi and Kunaal Roy Kapoor. It will stream exclusively on Netflix.
