Sometimes, it happens in real life too. We are talking about true talent rising above adverse circumstances to gain recognition - ask Deepak Thakur if you don’t believe u s.

The young man from Bihar’s Muzzafarpur would have had little scope of using his considerable musical talents if he hadn’t been discovered by Bollywood music director Sneha Khanwalkar on one of her travels. Deepak Thakur w as only 14 when he got his first break as a playback singer in Anurag Kashyap’s Gangs of Wasseypur. He also sang for the film’s sequel Gangs of Wasseypur 2.

Now, Thakur has lent his voice to the Mukkabaaz number, Adhura Main.

The offer for Mukkabaaz came at an opportune moment. Thakur hails from a humble background and his family suffered considerable losses in last year’s Bihar floods. Thakur was struggling to make ends meet when he was roped in by Kashyap again to lend his earthy voice to his film.
