Alia Wraps ‘Sadak 2’, Pens Emotional Note for Dad Mahesh Bhatt
‘Sadak 2’ is directed by Mahesh Bhatt.
Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt just wrapped up the shoot for her upcoming film Sadak 2. What makes the film incredibly special for her is the fact that it is Alia’s first collaboration with her father and filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt. Naturally, Alia took to Instagram to not just share the news but also pen a sweet note for her father.
She uploaded a selfie with her father on her Instagram story and wrote, “Schedule wrap...My not so old man has more energy than the whole crew put together..love you daddy..until next time..”
She also shared another photo from the sets of Sadak 2. In the photo, she tagged her father and Pooja Bhatt.
Sadak 2 stars Alia Bhatt, Pooja Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt and Aditya Roy Kapur. It is a sequel of the original 1991 film. For the Bhatt family, it represents a homecoming of sorts as it will also mark Mahesh Bhatt’s return to cinema as a director. According to Fox Star, the film, which was earlier scheduled to release on 25 March 2020, will now release on 10 July, 2020.
In May, Pooja Bhatt took to social media to announce the wrap of the first schedule of Sadak 2.
She wrote, “And it’s a wrap for our first schedule of Sadak2. You know you’re onto something special when you wake up the morning after with a longing to be back on set. Thank you @MaheshNBhatt @duttsanjay @aliaa08 @visheshfilms #JayPatel#AkiNarula & the entire crew for everything & more!”
In November 2018, Alia had announced that she would be collaborating with her father for Sadak 2.
