I Have Always Felt Beautiful: Bhumi Pednekar on Weight Gain

Bhumi Pednekar has been winning accolades for her plus-size role in Dum Laga Ke Haisha with Ayushmann Khurana. The actress has since lost 30 kg and is looking absolutely gorgeous and fit. She also recently won the Best Debut award at IIFA this year.

But when asked if she was happier now with her weight than before, the actor revealed in an interview with IANS that she has always loved her body. She went on to add that she is more comfortable health-wise now than before, though. 

Bhumi, who is getting ready for her second film, Manmarziyaan, opened up about dressing up exactly the way she liked to, even when she was “bigger.”

I have always liked my body. Believe me, when I was bigger, I wore whatever. I dressed exactly what I wear now. I would wear crop tops and skirts. So, for me, it really didn’t matter. But health-wise, I am a lot more comfortable right now. But as a perception on how I have perceived myself, I have always felt beautiful.
