In a last ditch attempt to woo voters, the state unit of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in a bizzare move on Thursday announced that it will ensure “fish for all” if it comes to power in the water locked state.

Goa, which votes on Saturday saw AAP’s CM candidate, Elvis Gomes announce that if the people bring him to power, he will put in place government run fish shops that will provide Goans with affordably priced fish, but at the same time also ensure a fair price to the fisherman for their catch.

The party had last week released its manifesto for the Goa Assembly polls with the focus on issues related to women. Among its promises Women lifeguards, changing rooms and toilets will be ensured for women on the beaches.

Asserting "dignity for women", the party has said community justice centres will be set up to provide a safe, accessible and a dignified platform for counselling and free legal support.

In a populist move, one of its major rivals in the state, Congress, earlier promised five-litres of petrol every month for students, Wi-Fi facilities in colleges and universities if it comes to power.
