Rahul Gandhi Will Have to Go to a Neighbouring Country to Contest in Next Polls: Piyush Goyal

Union Minister and BJP leader Piyush Goyal on Saturday, 20 April, took a dig at Congress President Rahul Gandhi, saying he would be defeated in both Amethi and Wayanad, and would have to go to a neighbouring country to contest in the next polls.

“When Smriti Irani is contesting against Rahul Gandhi in Amethi, he has run away to Wayanad. In Amethi, Smriti ji will defeat him and in Wayanad also, he'll be defeated. I think in the next polls, he'll have to go to a neighbouring country and search for a seat,” Goyal said.

Naidu Finding Fault With Central Institutions Shows 'Fear' of Losing Polls: YSRC

The YSR Congressparty Sunday said Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu finding fault with EC and other institutions was an indicator of his "fear of losing" the elections and his dream of paving way for his son to take over the reins has been "shattered." In a release, Senior YSRC leader Ambati Rambabu accused Naidu of "talking ill" of all the institutions including the Election Commission (EC) and other agencies, finding fault with electronic voting machines (EVMs) and criticising YSRC Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and at every given opportunity.

"His (Naidu's) recent remarks on our party President are ridiculous and show that he has already lost battle and had given up," he said.
