Delhi has 1,561,400 registered voters. These include 837,617 males, 723,656 females, and 1,267 third-gender voters.

The BJP, which contested on 68 seats, has been out of power in the national capital for the last 28 years. Arvind Kejriwal's AAP, which contested on all seats, has been in power in the state since 2015 and is hoping for a third consecutive term.
