Congress leader from Madhya Pradesh’s Sehore district Ratan Singh died of a heart attack at a vote counting centre on Thursday, 23 May. Singh was allegedly gathering the latest trends inside the centre when he collapsed after complaining of chest pain, reported The Times of India.

As soon as Singh collapsed, he was reportedly taken to the district hospital, where his condition continued to deteriorate, resulting in his death.

The latest trends in Madhya Pradesh points at the BJP taking a massive lead across the state. The Congress, that wrested power from the BJP during the Assembly elections, has been unable to keep up the momentum.
