A day after she leveled allegations of bribery against the deputy director Saurabh Jain of Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) in Mussoorie, Ruby Choudhary has been sent to Dehradun jail for 14 days by Judicial Magistrate Chavi Bansal till Monday.

Meanwhile, a few ‘leaked’ photographs have appeared in which Choudhary is being seen sitting just a few rows away from President Pranab Mukherjee. While the authenticity of the photograph is yet to be verified, this is being considered as a massive lapse in the President’s security.

A case of cheating, forgery and impersonating a public servant has been registered against Ruby, who impersonated as an IAS officer. Meanwhile, Jain has been given a clean chit by the academy.

The woman accused of using a fake ID card to gain entry in the academy had earlier came out with strong allegations against the deputy director Saurabh Jain, claiming that he had facilitated her stay.

According to the impostor Ruby Choudhary, she had paid Rs 5 lakh to Jain who in turn had facilitated her stay in the academy and given her a fake identification (ID) card.

“I had objected when I was given the fake ID card of Uttrakhand Public Service Commission, but Saurabh Jain said that he would take care of everything. I was just aspiring for the librarian’s job at the academy,” Choudhary told CNN-IBN.

She also revealed that after being issued the fake ID card, she had tried to meet the director of the academy several times, but was never allowed. His personal assistant would apparently always send her away with a curt: “boss is busy”.

The web of deceit in this case is particularly shocking as Choudhary reveals that she had also been a part of the group photograph with the President of India and the 2015 batch of IAS probationers. On December 12, when the President of India, Pranab Mukherjee was visiting the academy, Choudhary claims that Jain asked her to get in uniform––a black trouser, white shirt and black blazer––just like the other IAS probationers in the academy.

While the administration at the academy is conducting an internal investigation, according to the news report, Chaudhary continues to remain mum about why she was even there in the first place.
