Jost Kobusch, a German climber, filmed an avalanche hitting the Everest Base Camp on Saturday, 25th April. The avalanche was triggered by the deadly earthquake in Nepal that killed over 3200 people.

Seventeen bodies were recovered on Mount Everest base camp after the earthquake making it the deadliest disaster in the history of mountaineering on the world’s highest peak.

Sixty-one people were injured when part of the base camp was engulfed by the snowslide, Ang Tshering Sherpa, president of the Nepal Mountaineering Association, told Reuters.
