The incessant rainfall in Srinagar and other areas of Uttarakhand has led to water levels of rivers in the region reaching the danger mark.

The students in Pauri, Uttarakhand are now using trolley tied to a rope to cross the Alaknanda river, in order to reach their schools.

The Indian Metrological Department (IMD) has issued alerts and forecasted very heavy rainfall in regions like Dehradun, Nainital, Pauri, Haridwar and Almora.

The heavy rains have destroyed many parts of the state, leading to many blockages and evacuations.
