The team of Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy were present at the teaser launch of the movie in Mumbai on Tuesday 20 August. Father son duo Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan were present at the launch and interacted with the media.
(Ram Charan) What was it like working with your father?
The man is completely different once he puts his make up on. In a few minutes he completely transforms.
(Chiranjeevi) Why have you been away from Bollywood for so many years?
I don’t why there is such a huge gap. I don’t get proper content to come back again that would be one reason and off late I stopped films and I went to politics, so for 10 years I was there and I restarted in 2017.
Tamannaah, Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani were present too.
(Farhan Akhtar) Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy will be clashing with Hrithik Roshan’s War. What do you have to say about that?
I think now we should go beyond this whole two films cannot release in a day. I think there is enough screens, enough audience for two films to release on a day and do well. The people who have made the film are absolutely happy with the film they’ve made. I’m sure its a great film, we wish them all the best as I’m sure that they wish us and we just hope that the audiences go and watch both the films.
Touted as a Telugu magnum opus, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy stars an ensemble cast of Amitabh Bachchan, Tamannaah, Anushka Shetty, Nayanthara, Sudeep, Vijay Sethupathi and Jagapathi Babu. It has reportedly been made under a huge budget of Rs 150 crore and has been bankrolled by Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan. Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy will be distributed in Hindi by Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment and releases on 2 October.
