India and Pakistan are divided on almost all fronts. Yet, we have certain things that bring us together, like cricket. We are united in our fight against the common enemy –hunger. It goes against everything the media tells you about Indians and Pakistanis being against each other.

Hunger knows no borders. And it appears as though the Robin Hood Army doesn’t either.

A collective of volunteers committed to feeding the hungry, the Robin Hood Army kicked off in India in August 2014. Since its inception, it has crossed the border and established a significant presence in Pakistan too.

This Independence Day, the Robins, as the members are called, set out to achieve what seemed a Herculean task. Their goal – to distribute food to a million people in India and Pakistan. That’s right, 1,000,000 people!
