Indian team director Ravi Shastri said that the next two ODIs against Australia are an opportunity for the youngsters to learn.
Shastri replied to Glenn Maxwell’s claims of Indians being milestone driven. The team director said that if Indians were milestone driven then Virat Kohli wouldn’t have been the fastest to score 7,000 runs in ODIs and Rohit Sharma wouldn’t have had a score of 264 to his name.
Shastri also said that the BCCI should consider sending extra players when India play overseas.
The 4th ODI between India and Australia will be played at Canberra on Wednesday.
