Uttarakhand Cloudburst Leaves 30 Dead
Thirteen districts in Uttarakhand have been severely affected after a cloudburst triggered landslides and flooding early Friday morning. Movie Review: ‘Shorgul’ Has Weak Plot
Shorgul has been generating a lot of noise with the fatwa against actor Jimmy Shergill, and a lot of people calling for it to be banned. It is allegedly loosely based on the 2013 Muzaffarnagar riots. But, the weak plot and its amateurish manoeuvrings frequently leads to badly choreographed scenes of mayhem and rioting met with nothing more than hollow, long-winded speeches about insaaniyat. While some of the performances are good, the badly written characters are hard to ignore.
