Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a gathering of Chief Ministers and Governors of eight states of North- East India during the plenary meeting of North East Council (NEC).
NEC is the nodal body for Ministry of Development for North-East Region. In his address, Modi laid out his plans for the development of North-East and suggested methods to reduce the isolation of the region from rest of India.
