With UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s reign, law and order seem to be on a downward spiral. Consistent occurrences of Uttar Pradesh cops’ improper behaviour, unjustified patrolling, and youth harassment have been making headlines each day. Yet another incident of a cop creating a ruckus in a hotel in Agra is not new. Several such incidents in the recent past too have surfaced.
CCTV captures this policeman in civilian clothes wreaking havoc in Hotel Vanya Palace, Agra. The policeman reportedly had his meal in the hotel before leaving. He then left, only to come back later in plainclothes, accompanied by other policemen, and thrashed the hotel staff for no apparent reason. He can be seen throwing away files and hitting the guard and other hotel staff. According to a staffer, the cop was drunk.
The policeman has been reportedly suspended by the SSP of Agra while further investigations have been initiated.
