Two young boys, 26 and 17 were tied to poles and assaulted brutally by a group of villagers in Baripada, Odisha. Reportedly, the boys are mentally challenged, and had lost their way. They were trying to find their way back home when locals suspected them of being a child-lifters. The two were then tied to poles and mercilessly beaten. When their father tried to intervene, he too was attacked.
Local police were informed and thankfully came to the rescue of the two boys. Yet, the boys were severely injured. They were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital. Officials also confirmed that an FIR has been registered against those involved in the offence, strict action will also be taken.
