Tea Vendor’s Son Dreams of Becoming National Karate Champion

A chaiwallah from Gujarat now holds the reins of India. Now, will the dreams of this son of a tea seller from the state come true?

Meet Siddharth Bhalgare is a state-level karate champion from Vadodara. His father, a tea vendor, has worked hard all his life to raise enough money to meet the expenses for Siddharth’s training. Siddharth too used to work part-time to earn extra money.

All the hard work finally paid off when he won the recently held 2017 State Karate Championship in Gujarat.

Siddharth had started training when he was only four years old. He is now training hard to become a national champion and qualify for the 2020 Olympics.
