The Congress party launched an all-out attack on the Narendra Modi-led BJP government in a press conference in Jaipur. On the completion of three years in power, Congress MLA Randeep Surjewala accused the government of not living up to its promises to the farmers of the country.

In a powerpoint presentation, Surjewala produced various facts and claimed the number of farmer suicides has risen since the present government came into power. Calling the present government ‘anti-farmer’, the Haryana MLA also accused it of directing funds from the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBS) to the private insurance companies.
