1. MEA Summons Pak Envoy Abdul Basit, Demands Action

On Wednesday, India summoned Pakistan envoy Abdul Basit, three days after Pakistan violated ceasefire in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district, killing and mutilating the bodies of two soldiers. While Basit denied that Pakistan was involved in the incident, India said there was "sufficient evidence" to suggest Pakistani personnel committed the act.

Meanwhile, Pakistani Army violated the ceasefire again in Jammu and Kashmir's Mankote as Indian troops opened "speculative fire" along the LoC in Poonch district.

5. AAP Suspends Amanatullah, Placates Kumar Vishwas

After days of controversy and an emotional speech last evening by senior AAP leader Kumar Vishwas, the party has suspended its Okhla MLA, Amanatullah Khan, for accusing Vishwas of being an "RSS-BJP agent" – a compromise after Vishwas threatened to quit the party.

Vishwas has now been made Rajasthan's party in-charge as the state goes to polls next year.
