The anti-Hindi movement in Bengaluru reached new heights on Thursday, as pro-Kannada organisations took to defacing Hindi and English nameplates of restaurants in a mall.

Speaking on the movement, activist Pravin Shetty told ANI,
Industries use land, electricity of Karnataka for profit but they don’t want to use language or give jobs to Kannadigas.
A member of the Karnataka Rakshana Vedike – a protection forum, he also said that Hindi nameplates would be allowed in the state only if states like Delhi agreed to put up signboards in Kannada.
