She claimed that she is very excited for the release of her very first film and for realising her childhood dream of becoming an actress.
Talking about her famous wink and eyebrow raise from the film, she claimed that it was pretty unplanned and on the spot for her.
Actually, the wink was not pre-planned or practised. The director asked me to do it on the spot. He wanted me to bring out something cute between the couple so he asked me if I could wink and raise my eyebrows at him so that’s how that worked.Priya Varrier, Actress
A complaint has been filed against the viral song for ‘hurting Muslim sentiments’ at Falaknuma Police station in Hyderabad.
The complaint reportedly states that the lyrics of the song insult Prophet Muhammad when translated to English, according to a report in CNN News18.
According to a report in Times Now, one of the complainants, Muqeeth Khan has reportedly said that while the lyrics of Manikya Malarayi Poovi are hurtful, they have nothing against its actress.
However the actress decided to keep mum on the issue.
