Atleast 40 tourists from West Bengal were injured after the bus they were travelling in suffered a brake failure and skidded off the road in Odisha’s Dhauli.
The bus from West Bengal’s Midnapore district was carrying around 60 passengers, many of whom received minor injuries when it turned turtle, around seven kilometres from Bhubaneswar, Odisha’s capital.
The injured passengers were rescued by locals and then taken to a government hospital, where they received initial treatment. Although most passengers managed to escape unhurt, around six are said to be in a ‘serious condition’.
