Lalu Prasad Yadav taunted Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and his party, the Janta Dal-United (JDU), for not getting invited to the swearing-in ceremony of the new members of Narendra Modi Cabinet on 3 September.

Nitish Kumar and JD(U) are “a finished chapter,” the RJD chief said.

Speculation that JD(U) leaders would be inducted into the Modi Cabinet began making the rounds in July, after Nitish broke off his ‘grand alliance’ with the RJD and Congress and allied himself with the BJP-led NDA to form the government in Bihar. However, no JD(U) members took oath.
