Reassuring the same, elderly couple, Ratiya Ram and Jimnabari Bai, tied the knot in Jashpur, Chhattisgarh.
The couple, both in their 70s, had met a couple of weeks ago and fell in love. In a welcome move, their relatives and the Gram Panchayat supported them in their decision.
While the villagers wished them well, the Gram Panchayat undertook the responsibility of ensuring the couple could avail government benefits and lead a happy life.
