2. Review: ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ Will Make Bhai Fans Cheer & Everyone Else Grin

Bhai is here and his bhakts can officially go crazy!

In Tiger Zinda Hai, Salman – aka RAW agent Tiger – is on a mission to save 25 Indian and 15 Pakistani nurses stuck in Iraq. Now, there are films, and then there are Salman Khan films. We go to watch his films with our checklist ready, and this latest instalment helmed by Ali Abbas Zafar ticks all the boxes.

It has Bhai in every frame – the mard jisko dard nahi hota with the most implausible of action sequences choreographed with unbelievable swag. The film has precious little to do with logic but TZH is fun.

Pahlaj Nihalani also dominated all major conversations about films. Lipstick Under My Burkha was denied a release for it being too “lady oriented.” He was also found vouching for Julie 2 as a family film! Mr Nihalani can be credited for giving us many eye-roll moments.

The verdict in 2G spectrum case by special judge OP Saini of CBI court came as a shock to the nation. The verdict is a major turning point in the country’s politics. Congress gets a clean chit. It clears UPA of one of their ‘biggest sins’.

On the other hand, the verdict is a major setback for the BJP-led government at the centre. This is because when in Opposition, 2G spectrum scam was a major weapon of BJP’s political campaign against the UPA government.

In his verdict, judge Saini criticised the CBI in the harshest of words.
