Eight coaches of Kaifiyat Express derail near Auraiya, UP around 2.40 am on Wednesday. Around 74 people received injuries, of which four are critical. NDRF team had been sent to the spot to carry out rescue operation. Utkal Express derailed in UP’s Muzaffarnagar district last Saturday killing 22 people and injuring over 100.
All passenger trains scheduled to run on Kanpur-Tundla route have been cancelled and seven trains were diverted after Kaifiyat Express derailed early on Wednesday morning.
NCR Railway’s Chief Public Relation Officer, GK Bansal told media that no passengers suffered serious injuries and that stranded passengers will be taken to Delhi in another train. Read the full story here.
