Hours after investigators claimed they arrested the man who stabbed Junaid to death, the slain teenager’s brother says he wants nothing but a death sentence for the prime accused.
Speaking to news Agency ANI, Hashim said losing to a lynch mob his brother was akin to losing half of the blood from his body. His father Jalaluddin said he “only wants the government to hang the accused arrested.”
The comments come after the police nabbed a 32-year-old man from Maharashtra’s Dhule district on Saturday. Police claim the man arrested had admitted to stabbing Junaid and his brothers in a Mathura-bound train on 22 June.
Although the investigators refused to divulge the identity of the accused for ‘legal reasons,’ they added that the man was employed as a security guard from Delhi and had boarded the train from Shivaji Bridge railway station in New Delhi.
