This unique Japanese restaurant has monkeys serving you drinks and wait tables. The Kayabukiya Tavern in Utsunomiya, Tochigi prefecture, has been employing macaques for the last 29 years after a monkey called Yat-chan, which belonged to the restaurant owner Kaoru Otsuka, started copying human staff voluntarily. Another monkey called Fuku-chan soon started copying Yat-chan and now 14 years later, he has become the star attraction at the restaurant.

The bizarre footage shows Fuku-chan donning a black and white uniform serving drinks and napkins to bemused customers. While some have deemed the idea cruel, the owner insists his furry friends are very happy. Kaoru Otsuka said, "They are closer than my family. I hold them all day and sleep with them.”
