Who buys a car for 16.7 million euros (approx $18 million)? The answer is – not you. This Bugatti creation, called the La Voiture Noire has already been sold to one lucky, and presumably very rich, buyer.

The car is based in the classic Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic that was designed by Jean Bugatti, the son of the Bugatti founder. It was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland but it's far from the only hyper luxury car at the show.

Aston Martin's AM-RB 003 – dubbed the "daily supercar" – is a mid-engined concept car. Previously known as Project 003, only 500 coupes will be produced in 2021 – giving more drivers the chance to pick up the groceries in style.

On-or-off the track, this supercar will be powered by Aston Martin's UK-built VC-six engine. AM-RB 003 is the latest addition to the Valkyrie range, which is the result of a partnership between Aston Martin and the Red Bull F1 team. The AM-RB 003 is still at the concept stage, Aston Martin has not released an expected price.

British luxury carmaker McLaren is showing the McLaren 600 LT. LT stands for Long Tail, the car has a top speed of 328 kph and will accelerate from zero to 100 kph in 2.9 seconds.

Lamborghini, a part of the VW group, is launching the Huracán EVO Spyder at the motor show.

It has a top speed of 325 kph. The new edition of Italian brand's most successful V10 features "integrated vehicle dynamics," with a centralised controller that can predict the driver's intentions and adapt the car's behaviour to match.

Lamborghini says the price in Europe, depending on the country and taxes, will be about 220,000 euros (approx $250,000 USD).

Rolls-Royce is staking its claim to the 'bespoke' crown in Geneva. The luxury British car maker debuted its new Phantom Tranquility. It's limited to just 25 models, all have already been sold.

Its interior is decorated in 24-karat gold. A space exploration theme sees meteorite rock used to decorate the car's volume control. It's taken from the Muonionalusta meteorite, which fell to earth in Kiruna, Sweden in 1906. That location and date is also engraved on the interior.

Ferrari's unveiled its much anticipated supercar, the F8 Tributo. The car replaces the 488 GTB and boasts Ferrari's most powerful ever engine. The F8 Tributo boasts 0 to 200 kmph in just 7.8 seconds and a top speed of 340 kmph. It's turbo charged V8 engine puts out 185 horsepower

The annual Geneva International Motor Show opens to the public on 7 March and runs until 17 March 2019. More than 900 models will be shown, including over 150 world and European premiers.
