Uttar Pradesh might currently be focusing on its ongoing Assembly elections, but the students of various universities – including Lucknow University, Banaras Hindu University, etc – have been keenly following the protests at Delhi University following the Ramjas College and Gurmehar Kaur row.

Though many condemn the violence at the campus, some firmly believe that anti-national statements should not be voiced and that no individual can speak against ‘Bharat Mata’.

Others are of the opinion that political parties may take advantage of the situation for their personal gain during polls.
