In a shocking incident, employees of a toll plaza on the Delhi-Gurugram Expressway were left injured after being attacked by an angry mob.
The incident occurred at the Kherki Daula toll plaza on Delhi-Gurugram Expressway.
CCTV footage shows a man losing his cool with the toll plaza employees for allegedly making him wait despite his car bearing a toll-free tag. After being allowed to pass the gates, the man gathered a group of locals who then returned to the toll plaza and attacked the staff.
The toll booth was vandalised and the assailants made off with bags of cash.
A case has been registered with the police and the investigation is underway.
A similar crime occurred a few months ago when a highway toll collector was thrashed by villagers from Kherki Daula, Gurugram. The assault occurred after a group of men in a vehicle refused to pay the toll tax.
