A case was booked against a 22-year-old man from Hyderabad, after a video of him firing celebratory shots went viral on Monday.
Mirza Ibrahim Ali Baig, an MBA student, reportedly fired nine shots using his pistol during his birthday celebrations on 5 May. He uploaded a video of the act on Snapchat. The firing was also captured on a CCTV camera nearby.
Baig, the son of a school owner, is a resident of Januma Falaknuma. The police suspect the gun belongs to his father, who possesses a gun license. A case has been booked against him under the Arms Act.
